The Remediator
MoldStoppers™ Manufacturing in a partnership with
Builders Automation are proud to introduce,
“The Remediator”. The first automated machine
of its kind that removes mold from lumber and then
treats it with the 100% safe, environmentally-friendly
mold inhibitor, moldBLOCK™.
- No more moldy lumber going to jobsites only to be
brought back to the yard for clean-up, or worse, trips
to jobsites for clean-up.
- Reduces the cost for cleaning up moldy lumber to
pennies per piece.
- The Remediator not only cleans the lumber, it also
applies moldBLOCK which keeps mold from growing
back.
- No more writing off lumber or sending it to auction
in order to sustain losses.
- Many builders and homeowners will pay for mold
protection on trusses and floor joists. So
moldBLOCK can be applied and sold for added
margins.
- Full exposure of this lumber to the elements is
warranted by MoldStoppers Manufacturing for 90
days. No more worries if trusses are left on the job
exposed due to project delays.
- The perception of mold has become very, very ugly
in the building materials industry. Why
chance hurting your reputation? As
a matter of fact, why not enhance
your reputation, and for pennies, treat
all your trusses and floor joists
before sending them to a job.
- Lastly, The Remediator is a friend
to our environment. The water used
is filtered four times and recycled as is
the FDA-GRAS moldBLOCK. No worries
with spills or waste.
How it Works
The lumber is fed into The Remediator where it passes through the
first chamber, and pressurized water removes the mold from the
lumber. The speed with
which the lumber passes
through The Remediator is
adjustable by the operator.
The worse the lumber, the
slower it passes through.
If minor mold is present,
the lumber can pass
through rapidly.
After the mold is removed in the first chamber, it passes into the second
chamber, and the lumber is bathed
with the environmentally-friendly
mold inhibitor moldBLOCK-ex.
moldBLOCK-ex is passing through
this chamber at 25-gallons per
minute and thoroughly coats the
lumber.
Before leaving the second chamber, the
lumber is blown with multiple air knives
that remove excess
moldBLOCK to
eliminate waste.
As the lumber leaves
The Remediator, it is
almost completely
dry and can be
immediately stacked.
